it has been a long time since i last blogged...
first of all... i would like to wish everyone...
A HAPPY CNY!!!!! wahaha...
[life is full of irony...]
this is something I took note of a long time ago... and felt the irony...
If you guys have been watching TV ads... u wld see...
LI NAN XING in his anti-'over-gambling' campaign...
asking Singaporeans not to get addicted to gambling exp. so in CNY (wat else can we do besides gambling in CNY? boring tv shows lolx)
The irony???? Singapore POOLs came up wif several 'CNY gambling packages'
they have $338 'hongpaos' ready to be purchased where you'll get big sweep tickets, 4Ds and stuff...
While the government organisations come up wif 'anti-gambling abuses'
they allowed Singapore POOLs to come up wif more and different ways of gambling...
take soccer for example... they used to accept 1 dollar bets... now? the minimal is 5 dollars...
they din had so many diiferent kinds of betting for soccer, now they have lots...
like half-time, full time, championships etc....
for 4D... they used to have only the normal 4D with system roll...
now they have ibet and roll for one of the numbers...
Aren't what Singapore POOLs doing encouraging people to bet and gamble?
find more excuses for gambling?
wich made government organisations reali hypocritical isnt it?
today i witness an incident which made my blood boiled...
i realised that ever since Singapore became lenient in granting visas to PRC's citizen...
I started to do more and more reverse discrimination against my own race - CHINESE...
Esp. so when I see PRC CHINESE!
another incident happened today wif PRC which made my blood boiled (mayb coz I discriminate against them and so the evil side of them stays in my brain for a long time)
I was in a shop that sells comics and mags and the shopkeeper caught a china boy (have to specify) tearing up the plastic cover layer which acted like a seal to stop people frm reading the mag before it's sold. The latter was doing it secretly hidding beneath cupboards hoping that he won't be found. His intention was to read the mag w/o buying and mayb he wld put the opened mag back or shoplift (that we will nv noe since he was caught before he could do anything more)
So the shopkeeper told the boy that he shouldn't tear open the plastic coz the mag is for sale. like an IPOD, if you tear of the plastic of the IPOD box up, no one wld buy coz it's opened. The boy apologised and said he wanted to read the book but the shopkeeper explained that he should not open the plastic and hafta buy the book. He did not believe that the boy tear the plastic w/o knowing that he should not have done it. Afterall, the boy hid beneath cupboards and did not tear it openly so it was quite obvious he knew he shouldn't open the mag. The shopkeeper then asked for his mother, so his mother came in and apologised and told the shopkeeper that she din have any money wif her as her money were all with her husband who was eating at the foodcourt. She told them that they would hafta wait for her husband to come.
A while later, her husband came. Her husband told the shopkeeper that his son was still young (at the age of 10) and did not realised that it was wrong. The shopkeeper then explained to the man that he would have to buy the mag because the plastic was already tore off and he would not be able to sell the mag. The man then started raising his voice, saying that the boy din damage the mag, so it was not reasonable that he pay for the mag. He told the shopkeeper to just put the plastic back. the shopkeeper then reply rasing his voice alittle too saying that 'it was impossible to put the plastic back since you need the heating equipment to seal the plastic wraper and that since it was already opened he could not send back to the supplier.'
the man then replied, ' It just a mag. My son did not damage it,he just wanted to read it you can just put the wrapper back. I already apologised for my son what more do you want? How can you be so unreasonable?'
The shopkeeper then replied 'ok, then can you put back the wrapper.'
The man then shouted 'On the plastic you did not state that it cannot be open! My son only wanted to read the mag that's why he tore it open. It was not stated that it can't be opened. How can you do business like that?! I went to so many stores, they didnt do business like that'
The shopkeeper was very mad, so his wife took over the conversation and tried as calmly as possible told the man, 'We did not scold your son or anything, the fact is that he tored open a mag and no one would buy that mag anymore, that's why you have to buy the mag.'
The man started screaming saying that they should provide an open mag to let people to read and that they hasn't state that the mag cld not be open. everyone was staring at them, so the wife of this man told her husband to stop screaming and that the fault had begun wif their son since he tore it open when he was not supposed to. The man wanted to continue the argument till his wife could not take it and shouted at her own husband. In the end, the man paid, but screaming as he paid saying that it was no fault of his son, and the shop was being unreasonable and that he had the money but he did not want to gif to this kinda black shop.
it was obvious that the china family was in the wrong. It was their son's fault for opening the mag, n yet they refuse to admit and pay for the mag. They had to make such a din in the shop, thinking that by raising their voice, they can get away with their mistakes. i think the ones unreasonable is not the shopkeeper, but the china man instead. If every other kid were to do the same and the shopkeeper just let the matter rest, wldn't he be losing money?

Haha... Yesterday 8th Feb, marks Natalie (me) to be 20 years old....
So OLD!!! hit the BIG 2 le... haha....
First of all... I would like to say...
Thank you to Phy, Kee Onn, Glenda, Wakey, Jenny!!!!
thank you for celebrating my birthday for me :)
It was one of the best birthdays I ever had :)
We went prawning frm 9 pm to 4 pm...
The prawns we fished out were super big...
Giant size... lolx... the head of the prawn is as big as wakey's camera!
The length of the prawn is longer than wakey's face...
THAT's LIKE HUGE!!! lolx
Kee Onn was a very big help to us...
he helped us get the hooks off the prawns..
but he's a saddist... he totutred thet prawns
before killing them dor food.]
